Cardboard

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Cardboard is an app for scanning, valuing, and tracking your card collection. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. We've kept them plain — no wall of legalese.

Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Use Cardboard for your own collection and business, and don't use it to break the law or to abuse, overload, or reverse- engineer the service. You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@thecardboard.app.

Your collection is yours

The cards, prices, notes, and sales you record are your data. We store them to run the app for you and to sync your collection across your devices. We don't sell your personal information.

Scanning and training data

When you scan a card, Cardboard stores the photos you take and the identification you confirm — the card, its finish or parallel, the grade, and related details. We use that scan data to run the app for you and to build and improve Cardboard's own card-recognition models, so that scanning gets faster and more accurate for everyone over time.

By scanning cards in Cardboard, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, and use that scan content — the photos and your confirmed identifications — for the purposes described above: operating the app and improving and training our card-recognition features and models.

Prices and market values

Market values, movers, and sell signals are estimates to help you decide — not offers, appraisals, or guarantees. Prices move, and the numbers you see can be wrong or out of date. Do your own homework before you buy, sell, or price a card.

The service is provided as-is

We work hard to keep Cardboard reliable, but it's provided "as is," without warranties, and we may change or discontinue features over time. To the extent the law allows, Cardboard and 47Built aren't liable for losses arising from your use of the app or from decisions you make based on it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Cardboard grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, where it matters, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Cardboard after a change means you accept the updated terms.
